You guys know I'm a Tele player, but last week I took my Strat out of the case for the first time in years. After a few minutes adjustment time I gotta say, nothing is more playable than a good Strat. I was really grooving on it. I may just play it at the next gig. Seems to work really well with the DRRI. Hmmm, maybe I've been missing the boat. So sexy and curvy and comfortable, and what nice sounds.

I'm a big fan of a Strat through a DRRI, but not as fond of a Tele through the same amp.

Strats are really great guitars....for slide.
I tried playing fretted on one a few weeks ago and it was very uncomfortable for me. To each their own.

I really like the sound FenderBoy had going with his Jimmie Vaughn into his DR(RI? I think) at the NE Jam. With that touch of echo from the Boss Delay, real nice sound.

I agree, Strats don't suck. :)
I made the decision just recently that I'm a Strat guy and put the Tele up for sale. Not that I can't play it, but I'm just more comfortable with a Strat.
If you can't afford to have guitars just to have guitars, you have to own the few that are most true to your heart.

The Les Paul and/or the 335 are my desert island/skid row guitars. But short of that, the ol' Stratski and me get along really well. A little harder to bend strings, sure, (especially if you like .011's like me and are thinking of .012's) but they have a sound and vibe that I can't do without short of the poor house. Gotta have The Cluck...
