I'll drag him out for food. Let him crash. I'm goin' to my sister's to be admonished, do penance, cooking, and clean up. Ayma Shmuck

Wish my hands were working better so's I could play more.

Re: Annie's new Norcal jam thread.

OK, found it. Roseville is only 83 miles from Chico. I could attend the jam on the 5th and then go back to Chico where I'll have AnnieD all to myself muah ha ha ha!

I only guessing, but this has to be the furthest anyone has ever driven for a jam. I once flew to Portland OR for a jam that DaveZ hosted where he coined the term "sleazy blues guy chords". We were trying to get a jam going and he commented that he couldn't play those "sleazy blues guy chord fingerings Tele-Bob was playing".

LOL! I love that term. "sleazy, blues guy chords."

Re: Annie's new Norcal jam thread.

Well, when Annie calls me back and if she's available today, I'm gonna try to get up there this morning, spend a liesurely day and then head down to the jam tomorrow. I haven't talked to her yet so I don't know what her plans are. We'll see.

I am soooooooooo looking forward to getting a few personal lessons from chuckocaster on "how to be a rock star". I know moonpie has been attending chucko's Rock Star School via internet and giving it rave reviews! I want to try it myself. Chuck, do you think you can teach me how to do that hammer on thing with my left hand while pointing at someone with my right hand and winking at the same time? I've always wanted to master that one.

    Right on Chucko!

Is Moonpie getting good grades in your rock n' roll school? I wanna be a bigger rock star then he is so I figure this personal, one on one instruction will give me the edge.

CA BobCat with his Fat Strat

    Chuckocaster on the drums

    Chuckocaster with his Stratotele

    Chuckocaster with his dime bridge.

Re: Annie's new Norcal jam thread.

I have plenty more pics to post, but I can't do it now because I am too fucked up to make it happen.

I drunk it happens get over it. hooray for me. party on wayne, party on garth.

TB was the ace guitar today. He doesn't give himself enough credit. Those of you who have jammed with him know what I mean.

Photo was hot on lead today. from when I met him a year ago til today. He went from novice to semi pro in a short time. kudos to mark.

Chuck rocked hard and brought down the house with his leads on "Hey Joe".

Bobcat gave another raging performance with his stylish hard vocals and his lead runs.

I like to think I contributed to the success of today.

Terry and his Cousin Gordon, put down the rhythm on the bass and keys. Gordon was instrumental on the drums too.

Petra and Leslie's vocals were totally hot . They even sang Heavan to us.

JR laid down several guitar tracks that made the whole experience more rockable.

TB and JR even exchange "bitch I wrecked your car" songs.

If I left anyone out, it is only because I am wasted.

    Peace out.

I might leave the house for something like all that, I mean, like if it wasn't too far and I didn't have to cross the street.

Thanks for the pics.... Is CA Bobcat wearing shorts???

Telebob must be mellowing out in his geezerhood. He's much more liberal on his no-shorts policy than he used to...

Moonepie - these jams ARE a lot of fun. Even someone like me who can't play for shit has a great time, and you hear a lot of great music....

Almost everyone was in shorts.. It's way too hot in Sacramento this time of year... I don't care for shorts, but you have to survive...

My house...my rules. Actually it was about 100 so several of us where wearing shorts. I will try to get my pics posted later today.

    Other moments to remember:
    Chuck playing keyboard and drums...
Petra played well on drums (M-n-M didn't know it was here until he looked out from behind the bar)
The BBQ'd tri tip and rice turned out yummy.
Hey Joe was a suprise. It's been so long since I've done it, I had to ask for the chords.
M-n-M was cooking with his usual blazing leads.

Chuck and I were the last ones standing.
Chuck gets the award for leaving his 5 guitar stand sitting in my bar.

Anyway, we had a great time with the music and stories of the road.

Re: Annie's new Norcal jam thread.

Oh yea, and CA BobCat and Petra have a REALLY nice house. Very comfortable. The backyard is like a little park.

Tele-Bob can really play.. I just stopped and watched a couple of times and M-n-M is really versatile in his lead playing.

And everyone seems to be able to play all sorts of instruments..

Go PETRA!! That gal can rawk!

Glad you all had a blast. (did chuckoblaster wear the ears? )

Did Leslie sing some tunes? Was M-n-M playin' the Rich? Did TB do "Sold The Bitch's Car"? Still waiting for Mark to recover enough to post the pics...*tapping toes*

I had a nice time at the sister's BBQ. Everyone so sedate and polished. Coupled up- 'cept me - felt like Little Orphan Annie Blunk Eyes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'd rather been jammin'. *sigh*

TB did do "Sold The Bitch's Car" and JR responded with "Sittin' In A Bar" by Rehab (So I jacked keys to her F***in car. I crashed that pice of shit...and then stepped away."
Petra and Leslie sounded great on Heaven. They've got a meld going that is just awesome. Petra also kicked out with Hotel CA and Give Me One Reason.
Forgot to mention we had an 18 yo drummer (lives 4 doors down the street) sit in wearing a House of Blue "Jake" shirt and a fedora. :blbros The kid is just a rock solid player. Ours was the first of 2 jams for him that day.
No bunny ears at the jam. I was sooo hopin' too.

Read about TB's near death experience. Damn, we were trying to get him to spend the night but he wanted a shorter ride today. We even told him which route to take. I think he has an angel sitting on his shoulder and just doesn't know it.

At first glance, I thought Gordon was playing peddle steel...maybe a nice "Showbud" or "Emmons". Gots that wrist thang!
