    Mustang Sally Part Two

    I swear...I'm not lying.
I went to this Blues Jam tonight and it was the very first time I've heard Mustang Sally played as a Polka!

The beat that was being laid down and the guitars.......
pure Eddy Brudzinski and The Polka Dots.

    I'm still smiling.

    Yeah...geniuses...that's it.

But really, just try to imagine that UM-PA-PA polka beat put to Mustang Sally.

Yeah, I'm in the right place FenderBoy. You have to read Williams tag line in the post above mine. Uh, that's why it's "quoted". OK OK, it's a bit of a stretch.

It is a cool guitar, but it does remind me of boxer shorts for some reason.

Actually a polka beat is a two-beat. Almost a march. More like Um-pa Um - pa. Um-pa-pa would be a waltz.
Then again ther are several polka styles. German is more marchlike. Slovenian style flows more. Sometimes with an eighth note, eighth note, quarter note feel. Polish is faster with the drummer thundering away at 16th notes on the snare.
