Hey Bob, it's about a three hour drive.

We can get there spend the day and be home that night.

Are you going to be there then?

It will be at the same place the last one you attended with me was.

I just checked the dates. I was hoping to attend the World Superbike race at Laguna Seca AND the jam, but the dates are a week apart. I can't be on the road for that long.

What time does the fun start, I need to be an early arriver and departer, but I can fly into AUN if you can pick me and my gear up and someone can take me back to the airport at an appropriate time.

Re: July 17th NorCal open jam.

Bob, I won't be landing at the same airport as you. Auburn has a little GA airport about a mile from the venue.

My participation is also dependent on the timing. If it starts late, I'll have to bail because J is flying in from a week-long business trip late in the afternoon and I need to pick her up.

So M-N-M, what time is this little shindig?

The Jam will start at 1:00 and go till we are done. I am guessing about 5:00. It will be at the Club Car.

Pete, picking you up won't be a big problem.

Mark, we are the best therapy you can get.

    Annie, Will you come too?

Bobcat and Petra will definitely be there and I believe our bass player + JR the One Handed Mexican Monkey (one of our guitar players) are planning on it. No Dennifish on drum this time. He'll be on his honeymoon in Montana (Yup, fly fishing with his new wife). Look forward to seeing you all again.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to this one. We have a gig in Alviso, which is an hour drive in the opposite direction from my house as Auburn. To top it off, we have to play four sets of music. Discounting the fact that we have only three sets of rehearsed material, I haven't played four sets in a night in about 15 years. I'm not sure I have the stamina to pull it off. Assuming my voice can last that long, I may be pulling a BB King and playing the last set from a chair.

You really should go. A jam just might be the thing to put you in a better frame of mind. Playing music with good people always does wonders for my sanity.

Bummer!! It would be a trip up Folsom Auburn Rd to make it, but I'd suffer the full wrath of my sister if I miss my nephew's B'day on the same day!

I'd like to see about the next one tho!!

I didn't realize how many TFFers are in the Sacramento area!!

P.S. Annie, you BETTER be there because I can't sing "Use the Blues" at a jam without you. No way no HOW!

M-N-M: I don't suppose there will be a piano player at this extravaganza?

Hey Mike, if you want to fly in with me, you can play through the Deluxe when I'm not using it. Since you have to leave early too, it could work out.

I could even drop you at the gig site in Alviso. let me know...

Re: July 17th NorCal open jam.

Pete, I appreciate the offer, but that's a little too much travel for me in one day. As I told you earlier, you are more than welcome to bring an axe to the Alviso gig and jump in. I don't think I have the energy to play four sets. We played three sets last Friday night, and it just completely wiped me out. Seriously, if you want to play a few tunes of your own, our drummer and bass player can probably follow, if the arrangements aren't too complicated to work out on-the-fly. You've played with both of them already at the last Auburn jam.

Don't know if I'll be there, pete. I'm supposed to be at a festival up the road a ways that weekend, but haven't been informed about the time-frame. I'd sure stop by for a bit, if possible, but may not sing.

Just gather my smooches-n-hugs, listen to some tunes, chug a beer and head up into the hills.

What's wit' all these not coming 'cause they're all bumbed and miserable like????????????? Hanging with your compadres will remove those yucky moods, ya know? You might pick up a lick. No pressure to play or anything. Just come and hang and have some tea. See the faces that go with the monikers. You'll laugh at yourself when you see what a motley crew we are. Feel at ease. Feel better.

What a bummer! My brothers and I are having our own, up in the town of Live Oak on the 17th! My little bro lives in Modesto, middle bro in Davis, and I live in Yuba City.My little brother was the guitarist in Widows Mite(christian rock) and is now recording with Craig Young (Jewel's ex-bass player) in Modesto. We have had this every year except last year.We provide food and a HUGE p.a..Its out in the country on a private summer home(4 homes ,a pool and golf course). We call it the Rock Reunion with about 10 guitarist,3 or 4 drummers,2 or3 bassplayers,1 badass sax player and whoever else shows up.Guys usually bring their families and friends so it gets pretty large. It usaually starts at noon and the last one we jammed until about 2 a.m.!It's outside and we have stage lights and generators. If you finish up early drive on up.The kids swim and the music is down on the golf course.

To give you a feel of the type of music ,my bro and I are going to jam on; los lonely boys,SRV,georgia satellites,Marshall tucker, skynard, train, wallflowers, and some black crowes
