    Name change.

    Good gig on Friday.
Wonder of wonders! WE HAD A REQUEST FOR Mustang Sally and pulled it off acoustically. The other guitar player, who usually hesitates to do this kind of thing got through it without a major problem. Maybe there is hope?
Also, everyone agreed that there are a few tunes that I should play electric on so while we'll still have acoustic rhythm, we'll also have me switching a few times during the night.
Most importantly, since we are now a quartet we have decided that Tripleplay was no longer a viable name. We decided to stay away from anything numerical. There is also a local group call Treble Bay. Perhaps a little too close.
New name chosen was "SUBROSA," WHICH MEANS UNDER THE ROSEBUSH or somewhat secret. We are the best band that no one has ever heard of. Actually one of the guys in the band is a PI and his license plate reads SUBROSA CAUSE HE DOES SOME UNDERCOVE SURVEILLANCE. We thought it was cool.
Oh yeah! Solved some of the problems in my post about going direct to PA . See the sound reinforcement forum to whence it was moved.

"bury me, in the secret cove, so they'll not know the way. Bury me there, behind the rose, so they'll not rob my grave." from the song "Seven Screamin' Dizbusters" Blue Oyster Cult. 2nd album.

LOL mgade, I typed that Blue Oyster Cult lyric because of the reference to "behind the rose" and "secret place" as shunka reported in his thread.

The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
out at you from their hiding place
Like acid and oil on a mad man's face
his reason tends to fly away
Like lesser birds on the four winds
    like silver scripts in May
And now the sands become acrust
most of you have gone away.

C'mon FenderBoy. Blue Oyster Cult was famous for the indecipherable lyrics. It's such a "70's thing"! Oh, sorry, forgot, you're such a 60's thing. LOL!
