Anyone fit a Fender USA vintage bridge on a MIJ?

My incessant need to tinker might get me to replace the stock bridge + block on my Fender Japan '62 reissue I got thru Ishibashi. Anyone ever do this? I'm wondering if the Fender USA vintage assembly will fit/line-up correctly?

    thanks, guys.

Not sure about the newest CIJ models but I think Callaham sells a different bridge block for these MIJ-CIJ bridges. If it needs a special block chances are it needs a special bridge too. Check the Callaham site.

I have replaced the zinc block and ping bridge assembly on the MIM 60's and 50's Classics the American Vintage bridge assembly is a direct bolton on those models but not the MIM STD's.

Thanks, brutha. I likely would just replace the entire bridge assembly (bridge, block, and all), so hopefully it would be a direct fit. I sent Callaham's an email to see what he says.

I had a mid 90's MIJ and I was swapping the neck from my Custom shop relic strat on there. I pulled the entire bridge, neck and strings from the relic and swapped on to the MIJ body. I screwed that bridge on, bolted the neck and tuned. It played great in the matter of minutes. Everything lined up as good as if new.
