    Darkening neck wood

I have an American Vintage '62 strat and I've taken off the lacquer on the back of the neck and want to give it a dity look so it looks old and well-played. Any ideas what I can use to give it that look?

This is what I want it to look like: http://hem.bredband.net/b298200/Bilder/414169b.jpg

The jizz that you seek is on the stering wheel of your car/truck. Go get some water and wipe some off onto a paper towel. rub that on your neck (bare wood) then play the sucker.

Spent a lifetime trying to keep guitars looking good, and here's a guy wants to mess one up! Son...they mess up and wear out all on their own, and far faster than you'd like to think. Just play the damn thing!

On bare wood, you needs the sweat. Play the thing, it'll get there...

Play it a lot and let it get old.
