Carved Custom Shop Logo??
Tried a VERY nice used custom shop `56 relic today. The guy who did the relic must have been a bit stressed out because this is BTS!!
It is black and has gold hardware. The guy said it was "Master Grade" and the thing I noticed was that the Custom Shop logo was carved into the headstock...it had an above average price tag.
What does the carved Logo mean???
I also tried an old custom shop (old logo) `56 which was also very nice (but 3 piece body!)
The first one was nicer but twice the price!!

Re: Carved Custom Shop Logo??
The early CS models had the CS logo embossed or pressed into the wood. Later ones have a decal.
I think he is calling the pressed into the wood ones carved.

Re: Carved Custom Shop Logo??
Sorry, I should have said stamped.
They are wanting 3000 dollars for it on the basis it is really rare and mater grade (NOT master built!)
I think thats tooooo much money, but it is a very large reputable store in Tokyo!
Plays incredibly well though!
