Fender Is Replacing the MIM Series With The Player Series

Looks interesting for lefthanders because there are no AmPro basses with maple fretboards, and they have a couple for lefties in these new Players. Of course I love my Jazz and Precision so much that I’m not in the market for anything. Same is true for my Tele and Strat. Damn I love Fenders.

Yes. I have been trying to figure out WHERE they are made. Are they still made in Mexico?

The suggestion here is that they are still being made offshore. It doesn't specify Mexico, but certainly not domestically produced.

The pics on Sweetwater's site show made in Mexico on the back of the headstock. These look good!

I played one of these today. It was nice. It's similar to the American Std. I wish the fingerboard surface was satin rather than gloss.
