My first recording if FIVE YEARS!
I've gone through a lot of things in the last five years, which seem to sap my desire, motivation, and everything else out of me.
I bough this little digital record off craigslist and it seems to be helping me get back into recording a bit. Good demo machine, but not much more. It's so old, it uses SmartMedia cards, with the largest being only 128megs.
But it is really fun!
Here is my first recording off it: Boss BR-532 Demo
By far, not my best stuff, but for the first in five years... I'll take it!:sun

Rock on, Mark! Does the Boss do the drum sounds?
Re: My first recording if FIVE YEARS!
yep, it has drums, effects, amp models, bass models, and a bass models that you play on a regular guitar and it lowers the pitch.
It also had some effects for vocals, but I have not played with that yet!

Re: My first recording if FIVE YEARS!
I tell ya, those little Boss digital recorders are a lot of fun. They are all in one. I bought a BR-800 a few weeks before xmas and I have a lot of fun making music with it. I find myself practicing more since I've bought it. No need to set up anthing (guitar -- pedals -- amp...). I preffer it to using DAWs too. I like the good old "hands on" factor it offers and I find it easier than playing around with tracks on a computer screen (I'm not much of a computer guy). Of course they aren't as flexible as a DAW but that's what I like about it - old school?! :yah:
Cool song by the way. I can tell you had fun making it.
BTW- If you click on the Revernation link in my signature, all the songs on my Reverbnation page were made pretty much exclusively using my Boss recorder - guitars, bass, drums... (also used a Tonelab and a synth on some tracks).
Re: My first recording if FIVE YEARS!
I've been playing more too since I got it.
I've done a lot of recording on computer, and I have no problem doing it. But it just takes a lot to setup. I like just grabbing the recorder and go!

Nice, cool composition!
As for easy handling, since i bought my Zoom H4 itīs the only recording stuff i use, very handy, just push the recording knob and go!
