What happens when someone doesn't make it to the gig

My friends band was hosting the jam the other night - bass/vox didn't make it in time to start - a friend on guitar and sings - and me on bass to make up for it and BOOM - Its GO TIME!!! Add a cool chick on tambourine as a Bonus!
