Hell yeah she looks Sweet! Enjoy!
Here's my beloved SG, a 2013 Standard (I bought it because I felt this was the first year in a long time Gibson got it right).

And here's a picture of a fellow guitar player, a guy named Robben Ford (you might have heard of him). Robben routinely plays a real '61 Les Paul/SG, but in this picture he's playing mine. And he really liked it. Praised the neck and the set-up, said it played great and sounded great, too (those '57 Classics are pretty sweet). Sadly, I have had to clean the guitar since this photo was taken.

Excellent, Serge!
Jim, I've liked RF ever since I became aware of him when he was playing with Joni Mitchell. Righteously good guitarist.
Robben Ford made a mess of your SG???
This is a photo of my "twins:" Darkstar and Woody. Some day in the future, I'll sell one to make room for something else.

Wow.
I'm starting to feel a little funny, a little bloated.
Yep, it's GAS. Again. Thanks a lot!
Great looking guitars fellas.
No, no... I was just playing off the old "I'll never wash this hand again" lick. I should have put it in it's case and put it up for sale at three times what it's worth, telling everybody that the guitar had not been touched since Robben Ford played it.
At least that's how they'd do it in Marin County....

Since this thread doesn't seem to be limited to SG models, here's the rest of my Gibson stable.

Not exactly a "Gibson"- my 1964 Epiphone Olympic (from when they were still made in the Gibson factory). This is a fun guitar!

Don, I find it interesting that Gibson went from a single pickup ES-225 to a double pickup configuration. Or was this an option? When I got mine back in the late 1970s, I didn't know anything about them. I was offered a sweet deal for it and I grabbed it. Am I glad I did! :ola
I'll bet it sounds great! Mine was my go-to guitar for many years. I mostly played it acoustically :guitar:, but every now and then I'd plug it in, and it could put out some serious sounds, especially when cranked up.
Then, I found Fender electric guitars, and realized I'd been playing an acoustic electric for so long... :electric:
OS, will you have time to make it to the Bay Area version of the California World Guitar Show? It's a killer, and it starts at the end of next week....

If not, make sure you spend some time at Bananas At Large in San Rafael. GREAT guitar store, and they've got some of Joe Satriani's and Neal Schon's gear on the floor.
Grrr, I wish you hadn't posted that! I'm working in Novato all week, and am booked on a return flight Friday. So now I'll know I missed something great! I might have a chance to make it to San Rafael, but likely only on Sunday. It would be worth taking a detour just to check out Bananas At Large! Thanks!
Jim, at your urging, I stopped at Bananas At Large today en route from SFO to my hotel in Novato. It was raining so hard (flood warnings on Hwy 101) that they had the door locked to keep it from blowing open. But they let me in and I spent about 30 minutes talking and walking and ogling. They offered to let me play anything I wanted, but fortunately -- for me -- there wasn't anything that leaped off the wall at me. They did have one of the Fender Magnificent Seven Light Ash Telecasters that I bought last year, and we spoke about that for a moment.
Only a man with his son, searching out the youngster's first guitar and amp and another older fellow in the Squier/Affinity/Beginner section. Made me think that if I wanted to try out a guitar, I wouldn't have to feel self-conscious about it! :salud:
I left because I had a gnawing hunger, for food and not guitars, and I managed to leave without buying anything. I read on another post that you'd been in earlier and picked up a pretty sweet Tele. When I saw the pic, it made me think of my Triple Tele! Looks like you beat me to anything that might have tempted me!
