There is a block for the bridge - but not a "center block" that runs through the whole body. It plays fine - to pitch and all.
I was actually playing it today with some hot gain. I REALLY like it like that. Its got a lot of vibe.

Cool guitar, but I can't help with the info. I have a Korean Sigma 000-18 acoustic and although I have a serial number I can't find out when it was made- The original company records were very patchy.
