Hello! My 1975 Fender Mustang has 2 different types of fretwire on it. The neck is all original and I am the original and sole owner of the instrument. Frets 1-16 are .090 wide. Frets 17-22 are .083 wide. Is this intentional because the space at the end of the neck is at a premium, or is it the result of a factory repair?
Update: Found a HD pic of the heel of a 1978 Mustang neck on eBay. Frets were smaller after the 16th fret.
