Need a transposition: Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
(probably gonna get moved here anyway)
Can anyone transpose it from F to D (the Jeff Beck cover)
OR
just jot out the Beck cover version in D?
thnx
From the Fakebook:
F7 Db7 GbMaj7 B7 Eb7 Db7
Eb7 F7 Bbmi7 Db7 Gmi7 C7
D7 G7 Db7 GbMaj7 B7 Bb7
C7 Eb7 F7 Db7 GbMaj7 B7
I'm like a blind man in a dark room lookin' for a black cat that ain't even even there.

Re: Need a transposition: Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
Thanks!
I'll try to play the Jeff Beck cover with the root bass parts.
Re: Need a transposition: Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
Transposing from F to D: just move every chord (or note for that matter) three half steps down. If any of those notes falls outside of your fretboard (low D e.g.) play it an octave higher - you know the chromatic scale, don't you?
Re: Need a transposition: Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
Thanks, I can play a chromatic, but now that I've listened to the Jeff Beck cover I don't think he's playing that progression.
He appears to come up with his own arrangement and bastig progression.
Can anyone chart Beck's cover? THAT seems to be the question I should've asked to begin with.:doh
Re: Need a transposition: Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
Sorry, I don't have the record - I'd give it a try, if I did.
