Re: Your favorite tele amp combo
Lately I've been playing through a DRRI. Love the clean side. Scooped mids...very "fender".
The only problem is when I kick on my TS-9 it doesn't have the same ballsy sounded (it's moded to have more low end). A pedal doesn't sound the same infront of all amps. Dang it!

I think I already posedt a pic of my Tweed Deluxe with a Tele in this thread--a while ago. Now the TR is here, and both have their place with the Teles in my life: a year 2000 Nocaster and a new LTD edition Custom Tele.
Tele Love!

Got a MIA Tele with a maple neck. After a few pickup changes I've settled with DiMarzio's Tone Zone T bridge and a Virtual Vintage Strat neck pickup. I play it thru my stock DRRI. I also use (sparingly) a digital delay and a compressor. It's a nice, simple setup that I use for clean tones. Being just an at home player it suits me fine.

Re: Your favorite tele amp combo
Well after some of these posts I don't know why I'm even bothering, but I've been playing my new Baja through my Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve and 4x12 cab (because my Twin's not done yet) with my new country band. I've got the amp dimed and I'm using the volume on my guitar to control the amount of clean. The wide open sound with no effects sounds like one of Townsend's Hi-Watts (think Won't get fooled again)! Just incredible tone. When I use position 2 and roll back the volume, it's got that growly Brad Paisly twang. I'm really diggin' this guitar (and I've always loved the amp!)

I just bought it on Saturday but right now, for me, it's the Tele + Marhsall JTM 610 (with a new output transformer after the original failed :332: )
I also played it through my little Vox Valvetronix and it sounded good with the boutique clean and the emulated tweed 4x10. The Vox isn't a bad amp at all...I'm actually quite impressed with the verstatility of it (and the effects aren't bad once you figure out how to use them).
