NGDs
Executed a trade today. A LP Supreme and Martin 000M for a used Gretsch Country Gentleman and a new Yamaha FSX5 Red Label.
The acoustic side was a good upgrade. The Martin was a lam back and side while the Yammy is solid wood. Also the Yammy comes with an excellent 3 way pup system.
The electric side I just wasn?t using the LP Supreme that much. When I need a LP I find myself picking up the R9 or the Custom with staple/P90. I have 1 Gretsch, a penguin, but would also like a semi hollow like my Falcon was.

Re: NGDs
Congratulations on your upgrades, Mark. Everywhere I read that Yamaha makes excellent guitars. At every price point. They just don't get the love that Martins and Taylors do. Maybe that's a bit of jingoism creeping in. I note the same attitude on some car fancier sites: Nothing beats the USA. We are all entitled to our opinions. Gretsch is staging a comeback, from what I read. Or maybe they've always been in the picture but I've not seen them. Rickenbacker is another brand that shows up from time to time, but the signal-to-noise ratio always seems to drum Gibson-Fender-Martin-Taylor. It's fun to try other brands (and playing some handmade guitars at the Artisan Guitar Show was a thrill!), even if their price is sometimes out of the ballpark.
Enjoy your new guitars!

Re: NGDs
I'll see about getting pics this week as the site finally is not so slow.
You mention Rics. I have 2 Ric guitars (1993+ 12 string - think Townsends 12 string from back in the day, and a 360v64 6 string) and a Ric bass (4003).
