Pulled the trigger on an Acoustasonic.
Been eyeing these for a while. Was convinced I'd probably get a MIM version, but found a beautiful used American that I just had to grab. The serial number says 5 years old, but it looks like it just came from the factory. The gig bag even had all the case candy. I invested $28 and replaced the rechargeable battery - Guitar Center threw in a set of Elixirs to go along with the deal. This thing really sounds nice plugged in and I'm really happy with it. I absolutely love the neck - Plus - it weighs 4.5 pounds!

Re: Pulled the trigger on an Acoustasonic.
Nice! I've heard they sound great plugged in (like a plugged-in acoustic) but suck unplugged. That's probably why I haven't pursued one. Plus, it's hard to get over the visual of an "acoustic Telecaster." :biglaugh:
Let us know how it plays.

When I first saw them I wasn't impressed, but they grew on me. The Fishman system is really amazing. Difinitely not for live playing unamplified.
