My early '70's Epi 12 string was left in it's case for years with full string tension and the neck block came loose and it caved in the top around the front of the soundhole. Then I made it worse by slathering some epoxy in it in an attempt to repair it.
I had a similar experience. A friend's sister had a guitar custom made for her some 45 years ago, with the intention of learning how to play. Short story: She didn't, and my friend got it and promptly put it in his basement. And forgot about it.Quote:

I just acquired an FG230 Red Label that needs a neck set. Action is too high. Not by much, but enough to make me not play it.
We've been jammin' on this thing all weekend. I have new pics, but haven't uploaded yet.
