One of the greats. A true virtuoso if there ever was one.
This video features the guitar playing of Pat Martino & John Scofield primarily, but Joey is in there tearing it up. Imo he takes those other guys to school.

Danny Gatton’s album with Joey Defrancesco, “Relentless”, is one of my favorites. I got my copy from Danny’s mother, Norma.

I forgot about that one. There's a Fender connection right there

I've never heard that album. Having Danny Gatton's name on it alone makes it worth a listen.

I believe it was right before those you mentioned. Very soon after I received my copy of “Relentless” from Norma, the record company forced her to stop selling her son’s recordings.
