Well here's a weird thing:
Check out this pickguard & the pattern repitition in the tortoise. Originally, the blobs & swirls came from mixing the material together before it catalyzed & hardened into a solid that could be cut, sanded & polished. This makes me think there is some kind of digital printing shenanigans going on:

Re: Well here's a weird thing:
I think you're right, Robert.
And I seem to recall some chicom-made JV Squier Strats and Jazz Basses that had T/S pickguards which seemed identical.
Re: Well here's a weird thing:
Very few things are still real in this sad world…
Are those Fender parts or third party supplies?
Re: Well here's a weird thing:
The packaging identifies them as being made by Allparts, a prolific aftermarket manufacturer.

Yes, I saw the Allparts there but didn't know if it was a brand or a seller.
Re: Well here's a weird thing:
Allparts has been around since the '70s. I think one of their first products was the 5-way Strat switch (before Fender began including them as a stock feature). They are fully licensed by FMIC to manufacture and sell parts the quality of which is generally very good.
