Odd (Maybe dumb!) question about my new Jaguar...
Hi all,
I bought a Johnny Marr Jag this week - which is great! But, just wondering about one of accessories that came in the case. It's a curved piece of metal and I can't work out what it's for!! It came in the same bag as the Allen keys so is likely a tool of some sort although it also looks like it'd be big enough to cover the saddle of the guitar but there's no way to attach it that I can see (and I'm not sure I'd want to be doing that anyway). So, any ideas what it's for?
Happy to send a pic if needed/possible! Great guitar though!!
Thanks,
Sean

It sounds like a bridge cover. If so, it just presses on/is held on by friction. I have one in my parts box (from a Mustang? I've never had a Jaguar or Jazzmaster).

Re: Odd (Maybe dumb!) question about my new Jaguar...
Thanks, Don!
That certainly seems to work... but I love the cool saddles on the guitar so I think I'll leave it off for the time being! Glad I found this place... been getting seriously back into my playing this year (like a lot of folks, I guess!) and it'll be great to have a place to hang out with like minded folk!

Fender seemed to think it was important to cover the mechanical parts of the guitar from view. Welcome to the forum!

Now I've put the cover on, I've found it provides a nice place to rest my hand when playing certain licks! It may not look quite as cool as having the saddles on display but certainly helps out in other way!!

All right, Klangster, you've talked about this beautiful guitar. Now you have to post pics so we can see that beautiful axe!
Here are instructions on how to post photos:

Wow Don. Incredible photo!

Re: Odd (Maybe dumb!) question about my new Jaguar...
Klangster, did you try to upload from a photo hosting site? That's what you have to do. I've begun to use postimage. You can copy the link for your pic there and paste the link with a lot less trouble than with google or Flickr.
Sorry, I was trying to give you a simple and clear example of the string you have to enter, but I couldn't get a string to show without posting the pic.

If you replace the curly braces ( { } )with square brackerts ( [ ] ) your image URL should look like this:
{IMG}https://www.sitename.com/path-to-image.jpg{/IMG}

That's what I did... Uploaded to that suggested site in the instructions and pressed the 'insert picture' button. It seems to have put the correct brackets around the URL too but not showing anything. I'll try again...

Ah ha!! That worked... So, here's another. This time of the Jag alongside my trusty old Strat (30yrs and counting) and an old Squier Tele Affinity that sounds much, much better than than its price tag would suggest!! (Of course, now I've taken the tag from the neck and plastic from the scratchplate!)
