Champion 40 amp turns on speaker works but no sound

So had this champion 40 for 2 years its incredible. One day i ripped the headphones our of the headphone 3.5nmm jack and broke it/loosened it all up. I took the amp apart and tried to fix ir bur it was broken in 3 places so i just tore it all off with needlenose. Before i tore it off i plilugged the speaker back in and tried to get to it work which i did but only if i held it a certain way. So i tore it out. Now ive hooked ir all back up and it turns on but zero sound. I pulled the leads off of the speaker and touched a 9volt battery to it, so i know it works. I think something happened to the solderless connections to the speaker, or is the circuit board continuous and now its acting like headphones are plugged in ....help!!!!
