Figured this belongs in The Woodshed - 33 pros and how they learned

I saw this one on reddit. The article is actually about what online guitar lessons to choose, but they compiled a very interesting list of 33 famous guitarists which lists their firsts: first guitar, how they learned to play, and first song they learned. Jump to it here.

I found this pretty inspiring for novices just getting into guitar, in that there is no common pattern, and it goes to show everyone - even the greats - start somewhere. I counted two that started on Fenders, but it's a shame that they don't cover more of their first guitars! Maybe the artists can't remember? Seems strange, you never forget your first! Well maybe you never forget your first good one ;)
