Sunday mawning and coffee appreciation
Hello fellow planet travelers and visitors from way, way out of town. grey cloudy morning here, working on second cup of joe. Cat's lazing on desk beside me. Slight change in the sunday routine, will probably result in some shopping.
Next eye appointment is this week, long time waiting. I see more light which is encouraging, hopefully the doctor can see inside the eye better as well.
In spite of myself, I bid on some bodies this week, and again did not win. One of these days, though ...
Re: Sunday mawning and coffee appreciation
We're a week out from the annual fall car show at our local Chevrolet dealer so I'll start cleaning, polishing, and detailing my entry today. I've got German potato salad and blaukraut prepared for tonight's supper and I'll be grilling up some brats late this afternoon to be served on warm sourdough bread with sautéed onions and shaved Claussen pickles.
:eat:
I might find time this evening to re-string a Strat or two.
:electric:
Life is good!

Glad to be upright on a beautiful day. I got the mowing done yesterday, so today we'll have the whacking of the weeds and the blowing off of the sidewalks and driveways.
I am planning my day right now, and the list is again long since I've had a joyful, work-free Friday eve and Saturday.
I hope to get the geets clean and shiny. I also plan to put in some time writing.

Not much to say.
Yesterday our rehearsal didn't come out as expected. Our singer and rythm guitarist called in sick. The rest of us used the studio time (we had paid in advance) to just play whatever came to mind. Fun, but a waste of time and money.
Had my usual coffee and cornbread this morning and right now I'm picking up the gear to go fishing with the old man for the rest of the afternoon.
Gotta hit the road tomorrow morning, a client has a hearing to attend in a town many miles from here. A 5 hour drive. So I'll take it easy, try to go to bed early tonight.
Began watching a TV show I'm enjoying a lot, it's called Justified. Airs on FX.

Woah, 5 hours is a LONG ride. Heck, that is about the equivalent of me going to Atlantic City, which I have not done for 30 years.
Justified IS a great show. I watched the pilot and maybe the first show but things happened around here and I missed a few episodes. A series like that you need to watch every show to know who's done what to whom and what's that has to do with the story line. I was already a Timothy Olyphant fan but Walter Coggins just about steals the show so many times. I knew that I was going to have to watch the show on DVD or on demand in chronological order on my own time if I ever wanted to see it all the way through. I've got the series on amazon prime and after I finish a couple other shows plan to go to Harlan, Kentucky and watch these two clash and join forces, often at the same times.

Got to talk cameras and classical with a new friend, learned a bit more Blue Sky, listened to Peter Green play that Twin just right, and ate properly for the first day in about a week.

Justified was one of my all-time favorite shows. Last year was a bit tired, but they came back in their final year kicking @$$! I finished cleaning the basement and hung some racks so the wife can hang her "out-of-season" clothes with no problem. She was using the two closets in the tow spare bedrooms, but with my daughter and her son moving in, we need more storage... crazy-busy next week so taking it easy tonight...

Wife and I watched that one from day 1 ...i think the 3rd season......maybe fourth...dunno.. we lost interest it just got toooooo "out there" lol yes FOR ME!
Re: Sunday mawning and coffee appreciation
Yeah, TV shows are like that, Adrian... Sometimes we just lack patience.
Anyway, I like them a lot. Although i still haven't found one as good as Supernatural.
But justified is good enough to amuse me.
Re: Sunday mawning and coffee appreciation
a show I'm looking forward to is Elementary. After the ending of season 3, I have to know WTF happened? I just watched that episode again tonight.
Re: Sunday mawning and coffee appreciation
Volumeknob, I think it got lame during the 4th season (when Eva was in prison), but the final season was great once it got legs and the last episode was really good!
