Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers
Good morning, everybody.
I have a to-do list a mile long, stuff I said I'd do yesterday. Instead, I was a total slug, and I'm going to try to make up for it today.
No matter, I'll still find time for pleasure--vurrrry important for we human animals.

It's race day! My son will race the enduro drags, enduro race and the figure eight ans his friend will run the car in the powder puff race.
I got the motorcycle running pretty well yesterday but it's a bear to stop! The left front brake pads have been contaminated by leaking fork seals!
Re: Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers
beautiful day shaping up, looks as if we're going to have one of the nicer Labor Day holiday weekend in much a long time. I'll probably be grilling up some chicken either today or tomorrow, depends on which day my sister brings them over.
Got my esquire body sold and shipped, following the tracking this weekend. I'll be listing a couple of necks soon. Plus I've got a lot of parts I've bought, many of which are still in their packaging and it's been so long since I've purchased them I have forgotten what I bought. I need to do a mystery package marathon that will be like a mini-christmas in september. Some of the stuff I bought was for builds that have since been sold. Got to make some decisions on what to keep and what to sell.
having some nice Brazilian coffee courtesy of my mom's beautician. Contemplating a run to the grocery store before all the church people descend upon the place. My sister took for a test drive yesterday, the first time I've been behind the wheel since my eye surgery June 25th. It went quite smoothly, only 17 pedestrians, 9 parked cars and 5 stationary objects were struck. Better than my average drive, actually.
not rushing into the livery service business just yet but it is good to know that I can drive confidently. I met my physical goal of an hour a day walking, my flexibility and agility feel nearly back to where they once were. I probably won't be doing any geocaching any time soon. Contemplating driving myself to my next appointment on the 17th. If my brother wants to drive, I won't object though. One thing this convalescence seems to have done is make me more willing to be a passenger and let somebody else deal with driving.

Very hot humid day shaping up here, so it might be a good day to put on a slow cookin' bbq and sit far enough away with a guitar and a beer. Probably ribs with a Memphis rub.
Re: Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers
Not much to say here.
Spent most of the day in family affairs, and later I'll visit mi bassist for a shot or two of Jack Daniel's.
Re: Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers

Re: Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers
This Sunday Mawning and Coffee tradition on this forum is a really neat thing. It's one of the first things I look for on Sunday morning...even if I don't post.
I love this forum!
But, for me, I met an old friend today. We used to be in a band together. What a nice reunion!
Re: Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers

Re: Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers
I think we might need to start another related thread, as in "today, I started to clean out the..."
A lot of guys here, including me, started to clean out something today (and a lot of other days!). How often do you hear "I finished cleaning out the..."

What a race day! The Crown Vic is hurting but will race again! It was T-boned while my son's friend was driving it in the powderpuff race. It was the driver's side, but luckily it hit at the rear door. She didn't even slow down.
Later, my son beat the heck out of it in the figure eight race. They have four approx. three foot high ramps to slow the cars down and he was getting pretty big air off of them and damaged the oil pan. I could hear a little rod knock but I think the car will be fine for a demolition derby at the end of the month (once my son patches the oil pan).
It's a tough $200 car!
Re: Sunday Morning Fellow Universe Travelers
I did not win the strat body I was bidding on so I'm changing directions and going back to an abandoned bass build. I got kind of hung up on building a strat since I sold my two strats and am currently stratless. I think this may have been the universe's way of telling me to finish what I started.
