I made it out of 1/4" threaded stainless steel.
I thought the threads would hurt, but they don't! And it makes it much easier to play. I usually grab it with my pinky. This way it grips super well!

I'm probably going to have to bend some stainless rod myself as I can't locate the earlier style Gotoh VSVG arm for my Hamer Daytona. :arhhh:
I wouldn't do any Pete Townsend style windmills around that thing!
