Bellend, that's right, Bellend
My band Bellend has been playing gigs around West Tennessee. We have plans to write original material, but we're getting out there with covers for now--heavier takes on songs like Jumping Jack Flash, Helter Skelter, and Running Down a Dream. Recently we've played a party way back into 100s of acres, miles and miles of fields. It was the coolest.
But, we can't mic our amps with our PA. My DRRI just didn't have the power for that gig. So before our next gig, I went nuts and bought a Marshall JVM 410H / 1960AV half stack. It's incredible. I've only had it three weeks, and it's in our practice room--I've got to bring it home and spend some time exploring all the possibilities and find the perfect tones. We have another gig on October 4th, and I'll have the Marshall roaring by then.
Here are some photos of one recent gig at the Hwy 70 Bar & Grill in Jackson, TN. I am Bluebeard.

Re: Bellend, that's right, Bellend
We're a fairly new band, and there's a bit of friendly rivalry between us and more established bands. But we wiped the stage with two of them that night. They weren't bad, but I think we have something special with our band, and people sense it. We're also pretty tight players, and put a lot of practice in to make things tight.
But thanks, it was a cool gig.

Re: Bellend, that's right, Bellend
We wanted to use something vulgar that we could get away with. Of course, few in America know the naughty meaning of the world. So we get to promote by such phrases as "You need some Bellend" or "Bellend's up for the gig". Thanks to the Brits for a lovely term for dick head.
