I have a chance to get an unplayed brand new 2014 mystic red/maple fretboard american standard for $600! I need another strat like a hole in the head, but is this too good a deal to pass up?? Unplayed right out of the box...seller needs $$ fast......
Not too familier with mystic red (I know is is deeper in color than CAR...); but with the cool G&G style black case now and fat 50's.....:razz:
What would you recommend on here??
If you can afford it and you're sure it's legit, get it. That's a deal.

That's what I paid for my 2001 AmerStd on dealer discount when I got it.
On the other side, I wouldn't ever buy something just because it was a bargain, unless I thought I could flip it for a profit that was worth my time. Why buy a guitar you don't need just because it's cheap?
Buy it, if you like it and definitely... play it.
Guitars are not investments.
Am. Std. 2014, unplayed and costing about half the price?
I'd double check authenticity and history even before considering my needs for another strat.
