Chicken House Amid the Kids
I just formed a band with a few guys, all in their early 20s, young enough to be my sons. They're great musicians an a hell of a lot of fun to be around.
These guys are coming from Death Prog Metal, and I'm all about Rock and R&B. But practice was brilliant. We did Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" and ZZ Top's "I Thank You." It all fell into place quickly and well. None of us had ever played them before, and we got them tight in just a few tries.
We've got gigs lined up already.
Wednesday it's PF's "Money" and Foo Fighters' "Pretender." I've always wanted to do "Money," if only to sing the line, "I'm all right jack, keep your hands off my stack."
