What GFS p'up set is best?
The 60's repro grey bottoms..
I just want to try them,just to see if they're
any better than the stock p'up.
I have the MIM 60th anni standard strat.
I am awating a p'up for my quilt top epi les paul as I type.
I just want to be sure that I get the rite p'up..
That site can be a little confusing when all the p'ups say
they are alinco..
Well you cant really say one pickup is better than another, it's all in the tone you want. Lower resistance gives more clear bell like tone and doesn't drive an amp as hard, and a hotter pickup will drive an amp harder, but keep the bell like tones, and a REALLy hot one (over 7k) is a crunchy pickup. read all the descriptions and see what you want, or Email GFS and see what you get, they're all different.
I still like my 60's repros though...... :>
