While I'm a newbie I'd offer the following. "Fender" has always been a state of mind for me. If Leo had his hands on it in any way, it's a Fender.........if not, it's open to strange interpretations. :hi: Again.that's just my opinion.

This bass is so freaking versatile. It's AMAZING!
Leo's inspiration is definitely there. It's got a better B than any normal fenders I have played, though, which isn't saying much, since I've pretty much only played MIM 5's.
Trev...next time you're in a store try out a Roscoe Beck 5. During my time at Fender that was always my favorite Fender 5 string Bass.The new American deluxe basses are also quite an improvement over the previous 5's. While I haven't played enough G&L's to be able to form an educated opinion, the Music Man 5's have also been quite remarkable.
