72 Telecaster Deluxe?

Hi , Im thinking about getting this guitar and I would like some background info and history.

Theres only a vintage 72 model and the new reissue? Is there anything in between?

Im asking this because a NEW 72 costs like 600 dollars, does this mean is not a good guitar?

I cant seem to come across any old ones on ebay.

What is the price range on this guitar and how much diference between the new reissue and the real one!

Couldn't find an original '72,but I found a '73 and a '75 on the net,both in real nice condition.Both had the same price of $2995. A '72 may go for bit more because it is the original year of model introduction.
