    NBD - >:^{I)>

A little horse trading - a couple of good deals, and some luck - all after the accident - and without digging into pocket at all!

Roger Waters P Bass - about a year old a couple of play scuffs, but not bad. HORRIBLE setup and truss just about maxed, but still ok - needed fret ends cleaned up too.

I like it! wide - not thin or beefy neck. Pretty easy to play - great tone - and pretty much ready to do some blues!

Also - got the new JuJu Mobile last week
Seems to work fine for gigs!

Nice. I really like that double-black/maple board look.

Just don't let owning a Waters bass turn you into a slightly paranoid, totally self-absorbed, pretentious douchebag. :)

still getting the setup right on this - thanks for the cool words guys!
Still pretty sore after the accident - woman pulled out into my 50 mph lane of traffic and I had no where to go. I will say that the Scion safety features all operated as they should have - but still she was in a lincoln Navigator - barely moving across traffic - an almost stationary object - albeit there was some give on impact.

I sure wish she had insurance though - you know?

    No insurance? That's just irresponsible.

But the bass is excellent. I'd keep the black guard. I like the Roger Waters look (I love Roger Waters, especially for Amused to Death).

I like the black - still getting used to the width of the neck - having mostly jazz basses

i actually didn't get it for anything Roger Waters oriented.......but because it was a well built instrument. the price didn't hurt either.

The neck is definitely wider than I am used to.
played two nights with it and practiced at home -

sound guy said that the P Bass sound was MUCH easier to EQ into the mix than the J I usually use - not that the J is hard to Get good sound - but the P is MORE where he looks for it to sit in the mix

I'll tell ya, from a player's AND soundman's perspective, the P is so easy to get a good sound out of. The mid range growl they produce is second to none!!! Turn the tone knob full up for some clank'n'growl, especially with a pick. Or roll it back and use your fingers for blues or "softer" songs. I'm a P man myself, as if you couldn't tell... If the neck bothers you (it does for me) just put a J neck on there! All my P's have em.

Glad you're liking your new bass!

I am re-setting this up with flats. I have a set of Fender flats, and maybe a set of chromes ........I have the fenders handy so they go on first.

It still needs tweeked - but man - I actually like it a little more this way.

heh heh - chucko - back atcha my brother!

I decided to keep this one - it is a little wider than I am used to - -but sets up nicely - and sits nicely in the mix.

I like my J Basses more - but two different sound guys told me that THIS sits better in the mix and i trust them.

After some tweeking - it play really nice!
