    GAS Attack!!!

When Gibson released the 60's tribute Les Paul earlier this year I checked them out. I loved the idea of a goldtop LP with P-90's, but the quality of the build wasn't too great (at least the ones we checked out). They had a custom version of the same guitar at around $4,000 - way out of my league. Now Guitar Center has a special edition - Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro P90s Gold Top- only around $1900... with a coupon or sale item- maybe less... I want one!!!

I want you to have one, also! :) I think you should.

I loved the black Tribute Lester I played with the white P90's - looked just like one owned by Carl Perkins, without the Bigsby. The sound was fabulous, but the finish was very poor. The Goldtop looked better, but you couldn't get 'em (people bought 'em at 8 Benjamins and put 'em up on ebay at $1200 right away, the dirty bastards).

The Bonamassa Goldtop Studio looks pretty nice at an attractive price point too, but you, Nick, you live in the heady world of higher-end Gibby's. :)

Most fun I've wearing clothes in years! This guitar has a plecked neck and the intonation seems spot on. Action is sweet, tone is to die for. I really like the 50's style neck. Most of my Gibsons have a 60's profile. This has fast become my second-favorite guitar (the first being my J-200). We'll see how it endures the test of time. My fingers hurt...
