The TU-2 is an excellent unit with just one problem. If you are playing an outdoor gig on a nice sunny day, you better tune up somewhere inside, because you just can't see the damn display in bright sunlight.

and the beach bum from the caribbean casts his one vote for the tu-2. only in the brightest of situations does the display get lost. besides it's only rock&roll so being dead on is not necessary

TU-2. Locks in on the note, accurate. Use the "stream" mode for most versatility. Not bright enough for outdoor use, if you do a lot of that.

    Korg DT-10

I was using TU-2, but as soon as I tried the Korg I sold the Boss. Much nicer tuner all around in my opinion.

I have two pedal boards (2 entirely different rigs) with BOSS TU-2's in both of them. I have nothing but good things to say about the tuner and it can pinch hit for a spare power supply since there are only 3 other pedals on each board. I have run into the "outside sunlight" problem once and I was a bit pissed off at the time, but it was really nothing to deal with it in hindsight.

I like the Peterson VS-1 for it's "Tempered Tuning" function. You can tune the guitar like you tune a piano.

"D" chords actually sound in tune.

Since it is not true bypass, I use a A/B box from http://www.loop-master.com.

i have 2 boss tuners. my only gripe was mentioned before. you can't see the reading when you're outside. i usually make a shade for it out of a piece of paper and that fixes that problem.

    TUNA

    I LIKE SUNKIST

    ONLY JOKIN

I LOVE THE OL KORG GT3 LIL THING ITS POCKET SIZED AND I PUT VELCRO ON IT SO IT STIKS TO MY PA SPKR AND I CAN TUNE RIGHT THERE ON BREAK

IVE HAD THE LIL BUGGER AROUND 10 YRS SO I GUESS I NEED TO SPLURGE ON A FLOOR STYLED TUNER !!!!

I WONDER IF THEY ARE PASSIVE AND DONT AFFECT THE TONE
I NEVER USED ONE ARE THEY LIKE YOU CAN LEAVE IT ON AS YOU PLAY TO TUNE UP ETC>>>....

I ONLY SEE GUYS WITH TONS OF PEDALS ON FLOORS AND I CRINGE....
ITS HARD ENOUGH IN A SMALL SMOKEY CLUB TO CUT LOOSE BUT TO BE TOE TAPPIN ON PEDALS

    THAT IS
WHY I AM A ANTI PEDAL PERSON
BUT THE FLOOR TYPE TUNERS LOOK ENTICING

I GOT A SABINE IN MY RACK THA IS SO DEAD ON BUT SOMETIMES I DONT LUG MY RACK OUT

THE OL GT2 OR 3 IS OLD AND ITS HAD ITS TIME STILL VERY DEAD ON

    BUT MINE IS OLD

ONLY THING I LOVE ABOUT IT IS I CAN PUT IT IN MY POCKET ITS THA SLIM

I have the Korg DT-10 which I think is just as good as the Boss TU-2, Both are very good if you need that style tuner.
