I'm shopping for a Tele now...and when I find *THE* Tele...I'll be pluging it into a Gibson Goldtone GA30RVH head w/ cab containing 2 Celestion V10's open back & 2 Celestion V30's closed back. The absoltue best sounding amp I've ever heard .....IMHO.

I use ... Most to least ...
Line 6 XT
Line 6 Vetta II (new it is moving to #1)
Blues JR
Line 6 POD 2
Gretsch 6150 (Supro)
I have sold all my other amps.
Guitars: Teles, Strats, LP, VW Wormoth, others. Amps: Bassman LTD, Richter 5e3, 5e3 Head, Taynor Bassmaster II, Gretsch 6150 (Supro), others. Board: Guitar>Java Boost> Huckleberry>Fuzz Head>Top Fuel> SFX-03 >Keeley 4 knob Comp>EH Clone Chorus>Flanger>DD-6
I'm kinda liking the sound of my Teles through my Goldtone GA30RVS combo. Of course, they sound mighty fine through my SF Twin or Pro Reverb too.
MMmmmm:
Pro-Reverb!
Tele's and Pro-Reverbs are way cool together.
Heck, Tele's and most amps work pretty good!
You got it Steve! I think a Tele will sound good through just about any good tube amp.
First time I saw a Pro-Reverb Tele combo, it was the guitar player (Bruce?) for Graham Parsons: The International Submarine band, circa 1967 I think. The Unicorn Coffeehouse, Boston Mass.
It was a transcendent experience!
Had a BF Pro once. I put two JBL's in it.
I was rather heavy after that, but boy what a sound! Made even my CBS Tele Custom sound good!
Depending on where I happen to be, straight into a Blues Jr. or into a 50 watt Plexi reissue via Boss EQ, Dynacomp, Crybaby and various others.
'01 American Series, would love to hear how it sounds with a Super Reverb some day.
"Wait, it's a trap. Get an axe."
RI Tweed Bassman or a '55 Flot-A-Tone Model 600.
Line6 Pod Pro with a patch based on the Fender Tweed w/12" speaker. I jacked around with the drive setting a little. To tell the truth, I was trying to make it sound like a Pignose on 7. :) It's a little grittier, and it cuts some of the twang while keeping the essential single-coil sound.
Krikey!!
Thats a LOT of answers
THANKS guys!!
I'm using mine in a Marshall AVT50

marshall 30th for a bit more push-that clean channel is surprisingly tele friendly-almost el 84-ish
Bad Cat Black Cat Head and Matching 2X12 Cab
Carr Mercury

Cali Fat Tele and LP through a ABY box into a Barber DD and Crybaby, into a DRRI and a Pro Jr.
With PC stuff, POD 2.0, out & about, Blues Jr. or DeVille, depending on room/club size.
And, my trusty Route 66 pedal.
Victoria Tweed Champ clone, a 1X12. The speaker is a Weber C12N clone.
For playing out, I will soon have a 1X12 Tweed mutt. It will be a 5E5 power section and a 5F4 preamp section. This way, I can have a Deluxe at about 15W (5Y3, 6V6) and a full blown 35W with a GZ34 and 6L6s. I can intermingle rectifier and Power tubes for different wattages, too!
Still don't know about the speaker, though.
HRD DLX.
Played clean for max twang.

In addition to my previous post a Pro Tube Pro reverb will be here Monday.

Blues Junior
I play my almost stock MIM Tele through a Blues Junior and I love the tone I get from the combination. For the small rooms that I typically play in it's all the amp I need. If I need more I'll mike it.

You are the man!! What a great combination, ain't it! The only reason I've been plugging into the JCM800 2x12 or Hotrod Deville lately is that I've been concentrating on recording, and my Gemini's are a little too noisy.Originally Posted by guitarpicker_ma
