    Best years for 70's p-bass

    Hi,

I'm about to buy a 78 all original p-bass and I'd like to know what you guys think about late 70's basses.

And also what are the best years for Fender P-Basses during the 70's

I've heard some comments about early 70's basses being good and late 70's being border line. What do you think?

    Rob

    ok...

Everyone knows Im a big precbs snob. The 70s basses cannot hold a candle HOWEVER, I think all 70s P basses are severely undervalued and overlooked. As long as the bass is orig and plays great I think they are bargains. Natural ones are slow as are black ones. White and sunburst are the 2 big colors. RW boards are hotter then maples. A good one will be worth what you paid for it or better next year. Alot of these basses are HEAVY. Run away far and fast from these... Enjoy it and good luck.. KeBo. BTW, at the last 10 shows these were snapped up like gold...
