    Warmoth Necks

If Fender has a copyright on it's headstock shape, how can Warmoth produce necks that have the Fender shape? Do they have licence to do this? Stu Mac has unfinished headstocks on their necks.

If they copy the headstock exactly they have to have permission to do so and probably have to pay a small fee each time they sell one. I think they are licensed by Fender as replacement necks.

If you look at the USACG headstockes they are slightly different than Fender so they dont have to pay Fender.

Warmoth necks are licensed by Fender.
It says that on the heel of their necks.
