Saw it on the Sweetwater site and couldn't resist. It arrived today and it's killer. Same specs as the original CS Baja Tele but with 60s appointments. The pics are of my actual guitar before Sweetwater sent it.

That looks great!

Thanks! Love the faded sonic blue and it sounds just like a 60s-era Tele should.
Absolutely lovely.

Gonna do anything to it? Pickups, electronics, hardware?
I actually plan to leave it more or less alone. We'll see how well I stick to that plan...
I will probably get an Electrosocket for it because I'm kind of addicted to having those in Teles now, and strap lock buttons. Other than that it has all my favorite Tele stuff on it. My well-worn, white Strat is still stock except for a JB Jr. in the bridge, and I have a Les Paul I'm really thrilled with, so I don't really want the Tele to cover any sonic ground outside of what it already does.
What I've learned about myself after decades of gear acquisition, sale and swaps is that when I gig I'm either going to use my Strat or LP, but when I'm at home I always want to reach for a Tele if I'm going to practice. And I need to practice.
I'm sure it'll get to do some recording too.
(I reserve the right to delete this post in 8 months if I start posting pics of this guitar with everything but the finish modded. )
I hate it when people buy a guitar & the first thing they do is leave it alone.
Has Ken seen that TFF is back up? Haven't noticed any posts.

I'm not sure. I saw his name in "recent" posts when I first came back, but I realized later they were later in the same day that I had posted back in June. I'll try to email him.
I left him a message on facebook, too.

Yes, I want two now. A '50s & '60s.
Thanks Pete - I really missed this place!
Is that neck a little smaller than the other one?

It is. They describe it as C on the 60's version compared to V. I don't know if that's how I really perceive it, but yes it feels slimmer.
I just might could do that - AND I love rw on the fretboard too!!!

Played it all day today at a marathon rehearsal for the new band. It covered everything from funk and soul to rockers like "Juke Box Hero." Loving it!
