    New Guitar Day

    used, but like new/showroom condition....
    2012 Fender '52 Telecaster NOS
    Ash body
    White blonde
    '51 "U" Nocaster neck
    7.25" radius/vintage frets
    Twisted Tele/Nocaster pickup combination.

I can't believe how clean this geet is. The Nocaster "U" neck is almost the exact spec of my NoNeck Strat. (yes these can vary!!!)

I was messin' with it at work, during lunch and the weight feels perfect. I'll do a string change and raise that horribly low action when I get home. I'll be cranking it through my '65 PRRI and my '63 VVRI.
I've heard the Twisted Tele p'up in the neck is a little "dirtier" than the Nocaster neck p'ups. (???) We shall see.
    Ok, tone/play report to follow

The "Twisted Tele" pup uses taller mags and coil than a normal Tele pup. It's goal is to be more "stratty" & clear.

    Congrats on the guitar!

    Congrats on the guitar!
    thanks C'Caster and you others.

    I did a poor man's setup....raised the bridge saddles!!!!!.lol
I'll fine tune later..but wanted to get rid of the 9's or whatever was on there ....it's sportin' a fresh of good ol' Fender 150's..pure nickel 10's.
So far, I find its sounding not unlike previous Nocasters Ive owned.
The neck size being toned down a little makes it extremely comfortable. Some Nocasters Ive played/owned, were even too big for me!
I did A/B it with my Noneck Strat and it is ever-so-slightly smaller..maybe 5% all around.

The neck pickup is very warmf rom the lows through the mids and into the highs. Chuckocaster is correct, the neck is very Strat-neck-p'up sounding. The bridge p'up being RW/RP, cuts the Tele hum out completely in the middle position. This seems to sound the best. A great blend of tones. Picking down by the saddles gives you a great Roy B sound.
The bridge p'up is typical Tele/Nocaster...lol..Put the volume on 5 and it can cut through a brick wall!!!!!
OK, thanks for the well-wishes...I'm going back to playin'

I love white early Teles, more than the Butterscotch ones... I'm a heretic, I know. LOL

Glad you're enjoying the guitar, wish I could afford one like it.

Chuck, I prefer the white blonde Teles to the butterscotch ones too. That's what color I painted my Tele!

Ditto. That's the color I'd have gone for too.
