Refret SS or standard fret material?

Need to get my esquire refretted and want to use medium jumbos

Anyone know the benefits of pure SS frets over standard nickel and is it worth the extra money?? usually $30-$50 more

I know they would be harder, and thus less prone to wear over the long haul

I have a Carvin with stainless steel frets and I love it to death! The frets are slick as glass, bending is a joy, and show no wear whatsoever (the guitar is 3 years old).

There's no extra string wear. As far as tone is concerned, I haven't heard the guitar with nickel frets so I don't know if the frets affect tone much.

I'd gladly pay $50 extra for them.
