The BFPR might just be my favorite of the blackface combos...but a 12" speaker would be a great addition if only you could fit one in...

You can fit a 12" in them with a new baffle and careful placement of the speaker depending on the basket braces.

Believe me RJ, I gave that more than a passing thought. You know how most of us love to hot-rod things......

But I had that "angel" on my other shoulder whispering "DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE!"

Besides, I've got the heavily-modded "Dual Porch Weasel". Nobody's gonna miss a bread-and-butter 1980 SF non-verb Princeton or bitch about "blaspheming" one. OTOH, a minty all-original '65 BF Princeton Reverb is a historical artifact and should be treated as such.

I don't know if'n I'd call it a porch weasel... Weighs damn near what a half stack does!

All I need now is the elusive Gibson 5 way switch. Trust me when I say 30 class A watts are as loud as I'll ever need to be...

PM, my drip edge '68 Champ is my go to 'round the house amp. I'm sure you'll love it when you get your mitts on one.

I am currently searching a nice drip edge Princeton.

Just wait...those SF Fenders will be next on the future list of collectables...still no better value in a Tube amp on the market today. IMO....

Never mind the "future list", Mando......have you priced any clean drip-edge SF Fenders lately?

What were previously considered to be bargains are now generally quite pricey.

Not to fear though......because I live deep in "flyover country" I still get a line periodically on the vinty (and mostly unmolested) stuff owned by retired rubes who thankfully haven't gotten the word yet. I can smell a silver-face bargain waiting to be snatched up from fifty miles away.

    I've seen it done.........
back in the mid '70s,there was this guy who was already into collecting that lived around here.He had a PAF goldtop and other drool factors.
Anywho--------he had a BF Princeton that he put a 12" JBL in,it can be done.

Years ago I saw Elvin Bishop in a club at South Shore (Lake Tahoe) and he was using a pair of PRs, each with a D120F. Sounded real tasty!

The Nevada side or the Cali side? I've been there about five times for conferences back when I worked with the campus PD.

    Beautiful place, that is.

    California side.

About five years prior, I saw Blue Cheer in that very same club. Someone later told me the owner was forced to make several thousands of $$$ worth of structural repairs to the building after that show.

Sorry, RJ -- my Photobucket account went tits-up a while back. Some image links were lost.

Here's a recent "family portrait" that should keep you happy for a while......

(not shown is a new "Spankmaster Reverb" currently under construction -- identical to the blonde one shown above but with drip-edge silverface cosmetics)

I keep looking at that picture, and thinking...if the Princeton with the 2x10 or 2x12 is a Porch Weasel, then Roger has a pretty damn big porch!

The new one is going to be killer...

...and I still call dibs on that BFPR if it ever comes available.

    What a beautiful room!
How many circuits do you have feeding that room? I see all the pilots lit.
