    hot rod footswitch cable

    Hi everyone!
Can anyone tell me what sort of cable is used on the footswitch for a hot rod deluxe? Its an old switch with 2 buttons and what look like led lights like on the amp so I'm assuming it needs some sort of power-so a guitar lead doesn't work.
    Thanks
    Stan

A standard AWG18 speaker cable will work just fine. There are no signals passing through it, only control voltages that are routed to the channel-switching relays and the reverb op-amps.

18 gauge will do it fine... like Rog says - it's a two conductor system - this is what the pedal looks like inside...

Shame it's switching a chip driven overdrive in or out of what is otherwise a wonderful circuit

    HRD-footswitch:
Has anybody ideas for a footswitchable reverb, for me best switching between position 4 and 12 (=full)?!

I think most HRD-players don't use the ugly "on-board" distortion, called "more-drive" - so maybe that switch could handle the reverb-tank and pot... ?

Thanks for tips and your experience... ;-)
