    off topic marshall bluesbreaker problem

I just bought a NOS bluesbreaker. With the volume knob all the way down on channel 2 its still on.the 1 channel works fine (with knob all the way down no sound).I understand this jtm45 style amp is based on the bassman amp 59 circuit. This is a 2 channel amp just like the 59 bassman.Any ideas why Im getting sound in channel II with the volume knob off. thanks Gary

Essentially the wiper isn't going all the way to ground - there's a few ohms of resistance between it and the bottom. This is more likely to be noticeable in the bright channel due to the cap from wiper to hot.

If it's not a problem, don't worry about it.

That would be my guess. Some quick probing with an ohmmeter should tell you. Discharge filter caps beforehand, etc...
