    Prodigy's 5-way

    As I had said sometime back about doing the Gibson 50's wiring mod, I finally get around to doing it then I see the 5-way. Each lug is numbered 1-7(in order on the pic) with a ground lug on the left and right sides. Contacted Dirk Wacker and he was able to help out, but he has said he has not seen a switch like this, so he went off the standard CRL switch based on the wiring in my pic;
    wiring

    Stage 1:
    A=??
    1=lug 6
    2=lug 4
    3=lug 2

    Stage 2:
    A=lug 1
    1=not connected
    2=not connected
    3=not connected

    Since theres no jumper connecting the 2 stages' A lugs on the outside, he assumes that theres an internal jumper wire. Any help is appreciated on this!

    my young eyes are having trouble with the pic, BUT i can see all 4 wires going into the switch. i don't really know what you're trying to do (like replace all the wiring?) or whatnot.

    we need to know exactly what you're trying to do with this guitar.

    stage 2 is not connected because your guitar has a master vol and tone. whereas a standard 5 way in a strat uses the second row of tabs to access tone pots.

    just wire it like one half of a les paul see here:
    http://www.dominocs.com/AshBassGuitar/Gibson50s.html

    your switch isn't wired like a normal strat, more like a telecaster. so if you use the diagram from above the yellow wire from the vol pot goes to the output jack.

    does that makes sense?
