I actually like the road wors, after checking them out. I really do wish they weren't beat all to hell and just "played in"

I would honestly prefer the 60's....but this does look Schweet!

I think I've played every "bad" one out there. I would like a 60's in black - I've been thinking about parts-o-creating one. The problem with the "wear" on the maple fretboards it is looks so completely fake. Its squared off. The rosewood neck on the 60's looks much more convincing.

We had a 50's roadworn in my store recently, Pretty cool guitar, cool vibe, I'd rather relic it myself by playing the hell out of it but hey that's me, Some people might love it, some might hate it, hence 895674740945 flavors of ice cream

I noticed the fretboard wear too and thought the same thing, Haven't seen a RW board yet in person but I can imagien it being more convincing.

Also how long has MF been doing this Fender Friday thang? seems pretty cool...If I were smarter I would take advantage of this but of coarse I'm a

Well, they introduced them in late 2008 at stupidly high prices, probably in anticipation of their 2009 pricing 'strategy.'

Then a couple of months later, they jacked the prices 30% on everything else. I don't think people percieve them at the price point Fender was anticipating. I think most folks just think all of Fender's stuff is overpriced now.

FMIC must be having serious cash flow issues, given their current sales strategy. Keep your eyes peeled for bargains, but they'll be short-lived on anything worth buying

I was actually thinking about Fender Friday a couple weeks ago when they had the 50's roadworn for $600 something.

Wow. I'm so glad they are not offering the white 60's one @$499 cause I'd pull the trigger on that sucker.
