I use Schallers on my guitars. Never had a failure perse, except the usual loosening. In fact, I've long since gotten in the habit of checking the not on the strap and the scre holing the pin in the guitar. I'll check the pin even if it's a new guitar at the store, with no strap (or Schallers for that matter) if the screw is loose (the players screws are always loose...) it takes a few seconds to pop it off, grab a screwdriver and tighten it.
I have one set on for 15 years now with no issues.
