I'm thinking about a new AVRI Jazzmaster. I notice that only three colors are listed on the Fender site for this guitar, and none of them are Surf Green. Is it possible to order it in this color?

maybe from the custom shop. or buy one and have it refinished.

I'll never unnerstan' some of the wonky marketing decisions that Fender makes. Those RI Jags (an' J-Masters) are gittin' short shrift compared to the other instruments in the line-up. They should be available in any color from the original palette of 1960's Duco custom paints. Even the basic entry-level Squier/Affinity/Bullet stuff comes in a choice of more than three colors.
that's fender for ya.

I agree! If they did I'm sure they would prolly sell MORE. I don't get it. For Instance...They no longer make the AVRI 70's strat in BLACK...wtf?!?!?!? who doesn't make a guitar in black?
I have always loved all of the AVRI guitars, my favorite Fender products, but it seems as of late the Mighty FMIC is screwin' the AVRI series.

Music Gallery in Highland Park, IL has a Surf Green one on the wall. Great people to deal with.

Music Gallery in Highland Park, IL did have a Surf Green JM on the wall, at least until this past week as I bought it! I've had my eye on this one for some time and was surprised that it was still there. It was on 07 model. Good luck in your quest for the Surf Green JM.
