Here is a pic of a Strat-style git I made Jerry in 1970. Had the first brass nut I'd made (Jerry's request). Black walnut body, laminated (vertically, but you can't see it) maple-neck, and rosewood numerals for fret markers (Jerry saw my 1939 Martin D-18 which I had re-necked and when I did I inlayed it with ivory numbers - don't ask me why, just being "camp").
I think I talked Jerry into the stop-bar and ABR-1 because we both had trouble with intonation on Strats (at the time).
This was during my hippie "all natural" stage. No stains, all wood (rosewood pickgaurd, too - I woulda' made a wood bridge if I had thought of it).
The craftsmanship wasn't all that good I am willing to bet but it was fun. And I do dig the photo of the amps especially.
